Career Politicians or jobs - which would you pick of these?

Whatever your policital party, say you had to choose who to vote for a candidate between the same person who was identical in every way save they had different jobs which would you pick of these:

Assume that you have no agenda other than to vote for the person with the best skills and experience to contribute to Parliament.

Doctor
Barrister
Politico (Someone who works in Westminster or for a party)
Teacher
Lorry Driver

and would it make a difference if it was the same but at a higher level

Consultant Doctor
QC
Paid Councillor/Career Politician
Head teacher
Elite Lorry Driver (Vehicles up to 12,000kg)

I think the top pick would be the doctor and the last pick would be the career politician. What do you think?

I think people with technical skills would be useful in the House of Lords. The political nominations to the House of Lords are terrible. I think industry bodies (medical, legal, business, transport, education, finance, media) should nominate distinguished people.

Because of the nature of constituency work and shorter terms than House of Lords, it is useful for MPs to have knowledge and experience of how parliament is run. I prefer them also to have had some experience in a job outside politics. Ideally a large variety of different trades/sectors would be useful to have in the Commons.
