I remember being when I read about Courtney Love having a fling with Alan Partridge (well, Steve Coogan). Apparently she had no idea about his comedy alter ego and couldn't understand why her crew kept muttering "back of the net!" and sniggering at her.

Reese Witherspoon has been mentioned at the end of the other thread as not seeming that nice. The Vardys are school parents. I last saw her at the end of the summer holidays during a sports camp when she had parked in a disabled bay and refused to get out of the car. The school has subsequently sent out a letter to all of us saying Don’t Do This Again.

Talking of celebs dying young I also found Amy Winehouse's death shockingly sad. Not shocking as in unexpected but just awful. She had no chance really, like a lot of them. On e she was 'in' it all it was inevitable really.

@QueenOfTheAndals I was a child when Diana died and I still remember where I was and what I was doing that day. I also remember watching the funeral and thinking how I couldn't ever bear to do what those poor boys did following her coffin in public (I am the same age roughly as them). I do not know what the RF we're thinking putting grieving children on public display like that it was horrible.

Same as 9/11, it's one of those events that'll always stick in people's minds I think.

I read an interesting theory on David Icke. Apparently the "royal family are lizards" stuff is a deliberate ploy of his so that when he mentions things that actually have a basis (Jimmy Savile, Westminster paedophile ring etc) the powers that be will just think "Oh he's just a nutter, no one will believe him" and don't seek to have him silenced.
