Jojo Fleece snow suit, dumb question..?

We are off skiing earlier next year and DD, who will be almost 1, is coming with us.

I realise this might be a really dumb question, but would the jojo fleece snow suit be suitable for a baby to wear whilst actually playing in the snow (instead of just keeping them warm in their prams during snowy weather)

It doesn't look very waterproof?

We are going skiing with DS this winter too, similar age. We have bought a Reima snowsuit (it's a Finnish brand - I figured they know how to keep babies warm in the snow!). We got it on super sale at Snow and Rock and it's awesome.

It says water repellent, but has a picture of a kid sitting in the snow 🤔
