Saw this house and thought of you.

I was thinking of running away from home, a nice little house for one. I was going to post this in Property but just had to see what you think.

What do you reckon? Does it belong to a relative of Mr. Blobby? Would you change the paintwork? Cosy little house inside though.

Zoom in, and check out the sign over the front door. Grin

ha ha! That's amazing. Buy it! I can't read the sign though - my eyesight is shocking and my glasses are in the other room Grin

The sign is in Latin, but not sure if it is " proper" Latin.
I think it says " Don't let the bastards grind you down" Grin

That made me smile. Can’t read the sign though, what does it say?
Penrith’s most distinctive property + Allowance for external redecoration - wonder why?

Love it

What does the sign say?

Top marks to the sellers for their paint stunt attracting publicity and potential buyers!

Giveaway that the inside doesn't reflect the exterior batshit 'design'.
Disappointing! Had hoped for more of the same.

Sidenote
I'd have found it hard to relax on that sofa, without worrying about being concussed by falling pans Shock

AutumnalLeaves38 · 06/11/2019 05:17

Ha! Just looked it up on Google Street View and it's there in all its glory!

And that was captured 14 months ago, so not a recent paint job at all.

Blimey...imagine living opposite, looking out at that for at least 14 months.

I like bright colour houses..... but spotty houses? No.....

Interesting interior layout.... the “rear bedroom” just seems like a glorified hallway though, looks like they’re actually sleeping in the basement.

Cute for one person though, as long as you were good with stairs! You’d have to be quite neat and tidy/minimal with your possessions too or that upstairs open plan living space would quickly look very cluttered.

kristallen · 06/11/2019 05:47

The bedroom is in the basement, it says on the picture! As it's reverse living I guess the kitchen is upstairs so I guess the bathroom is ground floor?

Kyvia · 06/11/2019 06:16

The floor plan labels the basement as storage and the stairway above the basement as “rear bedroom/utility”

I guess there might be building regs about the basement being a bedroom if there’s no window/direct fire escape route etc?

Not too sure about sitting on that sofa without a crash helmet.

Love it.
I wouldn’t change the exterior paint job.

The house next door is on rightmove for sale too.
