Need some meal inspiration as struggling to get variety into the DC. Can anyone recommend some cook books that actually contain nice recipes that are fairly simple.

I absolutely love The Roasting Tin by Rukmini Iyer, I use it loads! www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1910931519/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_YkDWDbFCRY1WC?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

Use the BBC good food website. It can't be beaten imho. Most recipes are very easy and tasty.

60 Minute Gourmet. Fab easy French recipes. It's my go to for nice dinners.

I second 'The Roasting Tin'.

Rachel Allen’s Home Cooking or Bake are both great options - never had a bad recipe from either of them.

Avoca cook books are my absolute favourite though and the ones I use most. A Year at Avoca has 4 distinct sections based on the seasons. Avoca Cookbook 1 or 2 also very good.

Roasting tin here also, the veggie/vegan one - I’ve made 6 recipes so far, all easy, cheap and amazing. Best cookbook I’ve ever bought - the salt is too high though, you don’t have to add all the salt they say.
