Recommendations for where to buy a SIM free mobile handset

I now get SIM only calls and data included in my broadband package. At some point in the next few months, I might want to buy a new handset outright.
Who / where would you recommend for reliable quality and value?

Depends what you want the branded Samsung and Apple cost the same all over. Are you looking for an android why not use google and research as you surely have an idea of what you’re wanting it to do

I'd check directly from the manufacturer first. Cut out the middle man. Of course this assumes you've already picked your phone.

Do some research online, CNET or tech radar for the best one in your price range.

Then find out where you can get it the cheapest.

I ended up with a Google phone from argos, of all places. Great phone for 150 quid.
