WhatsApp-can you tell if someone has visited your profile?

I've googled and all very contradictory! I want to know if someone can tell if you've looked at their WhatsApp? I don't mean their status or picture or anything, I mean just looked at when they were last online.

Google says that you can view using the 'eye' symbol but I don't have that!

Where's the eye symbol meant to be?

Can't they just see when you were last online by opening your shared chat thread and looking at the top?

I don't thi k so. If you click on their name then it tells you the last time they were online

I don't need to know when they were last online as it tells me, I want to know if they can tell how many times I've looked at theirs!

No the eye symbol is for checking who viewed your status, you can't check who viewed your profile in WhatsApp

That's good to know, thanks. Still don't get the eye symbol as I can't see it ANYWHERE!

If you create a status, then view it, you will see an eye symbol at thr bottom where you can see who viewed it.

@cheesecadet out of curiosity how many times have you looked at this profile?

I turn all them settings off personally - why does anybody need to know when you were last online? I look at messages and put my phone down and forget I need to reply. I'd be so annoyed if a friend was checking up me when I was last online. If you need a reply right away call them.
