I would try contacting The Dogs Trust or PDSA

I agree with dogs trust or pdsa. Another option maybe buying online/elsewhere

Most vets will offer a prescription service where she can pay for a written prescription and buy the drugs elsewhere eg online
There is usually a charge for this (ours is £12.50) and the prescription is valid for a limited time but it usually works out cheaper.

Also worth talking to the vet about cheaper options. E.g. if it is a painkiller does the vet consider paracetamol to be am alternative option? Would need the vet's input as dosage is key and easy to get wrong, but it can work well. My dog can't tolerate any of the usual painkillers so we have to manage his pain with paracetamol on vet advice which is also happily way cheaper as I just buy it in the chemist

Ours charges £20 and gives us a prescription fir 3 months worth at a time. Saves us a fortune buying it online
