Not unless you're making it with whole milk, putting 10 spoons of sugar in it and spraying cream and then handful of marshmallows then chocolate sprinkles etc

missyB1 · 03/11/2019 19:05

What’s the problem? Has someone told you it’s unhealthy?

Drizzzle · 03/11/2019 19:07

I don't know exactly how unhealthy, but it's not great.

You have to take it in the context of the rest of your diet.

It is

  • not as healthy as a glass of water
  • not as healthy as a cup of warm milk
  • more healthy than a can of coke
  • more healthy than a glass of wine.

Personally, I love an options (made with milk, cos I'm worth it!) and would feel completely ok with it once a day. The rest of my drinks choices are very healthy tho.

It’s filth op, you’d be better off having a decent got chocolate once a week and enjoying it

Greenglassteacup · 03/11/2019 19:12

Got=hot

megletthesecond · 03/11/2019 19:13

Probably quite unhealthy. A smaller mug of hot chocolate is better.

Stillmonday · 03/11/2019 19:14

I'm trying to be healthier, not that I'm particularly unhealthy. I don't drink alcohol, drink 2-3 litres of water a day and always eat at least 5 portions of veg a day. Only have fried food once a week etc.

It's just the E numbers and artificial sweeteners in this that got me worried

So grate some good quality dark chocolate into some milk, heat it and add some maple syrup or honey and cinnamon one a week for a treat

ManiacalLapwing · 03/11/2019 19:20

I agree with Greenglassteacup. I'd have a real hot chocolate once a week instead. Or swap it for a square of 70%+ cocoa dark chocolate instead.

ilovepixie · 03/11/2019 19:20

I have one every night, been having one every night for about 30 years and I'm still alive lol!
