What music do you listen to when you get ready?

Feel like I'm always listening to the same music when I'm getting ready (not to go out just in the morning, but either way really). What music do you listen to when you get ready? Or Does it depend on what you're getting ready for?

Magic Soul radio, have it on all day long.

AmaiyaGrace1 · 03/11/2019 12:01

Is that on normal digital radio? Not heard of it before

Unless I'm listening to a particular artist I have 6 music on most of the day.

Ginfordinner · 03/11/2019 13:27

None.

I tend to go back to the same things, all on vinyl.

Lana del ray - Born to Die
Pulp - Different Class
Nirvana - Nevermind
The Wedding Present - George Best
The Smiths - any of theirs

Night out with the girls = Cindy Lopez Girls Just Wanna have Fun - on loud.
And you know what? It works every time Grin

It's a digital station, all soul and Motown.

What is this 'getting ready' of which you talk?!

I've been indoctrinated since birth to listen to Radio 2. It goes on first thing and off at bathtime.

Audiobook

I listen to speech radio, tbh, only put on the music if the politics or culture etc. is especially tedious.

Nothing I like silence in the morning before having to deal with other humans!

AmaiyaGrace1 · 03/11/2019 17:59

I listen to some audio and audiobooks too. In the slither of time I have before little mouths start shouting for breakfast, I like to just have that me time to wash some dishes, wash my face, do my make-up and my teeth, make their packed lunch that kind of thing. I've been trying to get up earlier to get more done, but find it weirdly quiet and find that I end up listening to the same things again and again on YouTube with no variety. I never seem to think of the radio at that time, though. Not really sure why. That's probably the way forward

@Likethebattle maybe I too need to embrace that tiny bit of silence!
