This morning we went shopping for the last few bits we needed. decorated outside and had a halloween picnic.
About to paint our pumpkins now.

Stompythedinosaur · 29/10/2019 12:51

We carved pumpkins before the village Halloween party last weekend. We will be having friends round to go trick or treating on Thurs and a sleepover after, and there's another party on Fri that our childminder is taking them to.

Nothing really. SIL is taking DC out to an event at a local attraction on Thursday. DC want to go trick or treating but I don't know if they will be back in time. I have never taken them trick or treating and have no wish to do so. We will carve pumpkins though.

Greenbutterlfy566 · 29/10/2019 17:39

Will probably go trick or treating and carving pumpkins

We are in Butlins with our 3 and 4 year old. We decorated the apartment and will be carving pumpkins on Thursday.

flippyflapper · 29/10/2019 17:47

We went pumpkin picking today, it was freezing, so came home carved them and had some hot choc.

They all went out and decorated the front of the house with the mountain on decorations we have gathered over the years. Thursday we have friends over then take kids trick or treating, our street goes crazy and makes a huge effort and is always fun.

We got a pumpkin last weekend at a local farm and carved it on Monday. Tomorrow we are going trick or treating, I live near a lovely estate with many families and they go to a lot of effort for the children on Halloween. Smile

We were going to a fireworks display on Saturday but there is talk of it being cancelled due to the very wet weather we jave

Waxonwaxoff0 · 30/10/2019 07:24

We have been pumpkin picking at a local farm, went to Butlins at the weekend for 3 nights - lots of Halloween bits going on there.
Going to see Adams Family at the cinema and going trick or treat tomorrow early evening

Bluewavescrashing · 30/10/2019 07:36

Going to the zoo and local theme park as we have annual passes for both and they put on good seasonal events. Shows, decorations, trails etc.

DH made pumpkin soup with the DCs. It was delicious.

A friend is coming with her DCs tomorrow to go trick or treating around our estate about 6pm then we'll have tea together.

Greenbutterlfy566 · 30/10/2019 08:27

Mondeo- whats halloween events did you do at butlins?

OP posts:
Linnylinn1 · 30/10/2019 08:31

We are away at a “holiday park” there’s tons going on here
Halloween movies each night
Halloween kids club every day
Spooky night time train ride
Pumpkin hunt
Pumpkin carving comps
Evening camp out (bbq and fun etc)
Sports activities too

We do it (or something similar) every year!! Love it. (Not in the U.K.)

Greenbutterlfy566 · 30/10/2019 08:34

Linny- I wish they had that here!

I might do pumpkin carving tomorrow. There's no trick or treating near us and hadn't been since the kids were born so we don't really celebrate Halloween sadly.

Linnylinn1 · 30/10/2019 08:41

@Greenbutterlfy566 have you had a look at haven holidays or park dean holidays?? They are U.K. based.

ExitLightEnterNight · 30/10/2019 08:44

Taking my dc trick or treating on Thurs and hopefully going to an NT place that's all lit up at the weekend but we might not manage it. Otherwise we have no plans and are just taking each day as it comes.

Greenbutterlfy566 · 30/10/2019 08:55

Linny-I didn’t think they did that much for Halloween I’ll have a look.

DS is at nursery so will still go his normal 3 days, he can go dressed up if he wants to and DH will take him trick or treating after.

They made pumpkin muffins at nursery last week. DH said it was nice!

On Saturday there is a kids disco for charity in a local church hall in the afternoon so we might go along.

Greenbutterlfy566 · 30/10/2019 10:17
