Recorder book recommendations... sure I'll live to regret it

Can any help with recommendations for a recorder book I could buy DD please?

She's just turned 6 and I've bought her a recorder for Christmas. I'd like to get her a guide book to go with it and have looked on amazon but the reviews of the top results put me off.

Ideally I'd like something with recognisable songs so she knows if she's playing them correctly.

I have the Usbourne book, mine is older than this one as mine came from a charity shop but it seems good and goes through reading music as well.

Sing, Clap and Play the recorder.
It's old, but still available on Amazon. I've been using it to teach my eldest the recorder.

Abracadabra are the music books most teachers use, we've had them for several instruments over the years ... dd learnt the recorder at that age and recently (over 10 years later) is learning the clarinet, so beware! (Actually she plays 6 instruments and is semi pro on 2 and voice!)

I lied mine is this one, not sure of the difference.

I think the usborne one has a lot of familiar tunes but if I remember rightly, it moves along quite quickly. It's a lovely book but not so much as a tutor book. I tend to use either the john pitts one or the sarah watts with my students.

prosecco DD is using it alongside lessons, so maybe I haven't noticed the speed as much.

Recorder from the beginning book 1.

I did Gr 8 on treble recorder (moved on to oboe) and played it and oboe all through uni. You might be able to tell that I have a small chip about it bring ‘only a recorder’!

One of my good friends did a M.Mus at RCM playing the recorder and performs all over the world.

Anyway back to the recommendation.......

@RedJoan quite possible I know your friend. It's a small world!
