Why the bloody hell is Operation Brock in place?

Chaos on the M20. Operation Brock has been activated even though we’re not leaving on 31st October.

We’re going to be going down and up the M20 at the weekend, does anyone know what the traffic will be like, or whether it will be gone by then?

Perhaps it's because no one in government seems willing to admit straight out that we are not now leaving on the 31st.

Not the same level of disruption, but until yesterday at least all the signs on the motorway were still going on about all the extra customs checks that will start on Friday in their dreams.

Apparently, it’s overrunning roadworks and an accident that are the cause of the delays. I hope so anyway because otherwise I’m destined to not get home on time tomorrow . Surely someone will have the sense to stand it down soon though. Sigh.
