Books for mature 15/16 year old

My Dd enjoys reading and has said she would like to read more and asked for some books for Xmas, what's good for a mature 15/16 year old?

I was thinking of Virginia Andrews flowers in the attic series as I loved those books as a teen

Anything in the Qi series
And then a couple from Waterstones section on life and economics/politics/culture. Definitely some of the lighter ones dealing with issues she'll face in work/college soon - about leading others, team work and common work themes of the moment - working smarter/remotely/etc.
