4.5 weeks pregnant and having a yeast infection

I have a yeast infection and I tried to tell my midwife. She said that it was probably just my body reacting to the crazy new hormones but since my conversation with her it has gotten worse. I talked to a friend who has had multiple kids and she to try apple cider vinegar. she said two cups in a warm bath just enough to sit in for 15-20 mins. I did as she said (after all she has had 4 kids, right?) I did some further research and found that it is only safe to to pasteurized apple cider vinegar. I used unpasteurized and read that it can cause issues and now I am freaking out. Has anyone done this and did everything turn out okay? I am hormonal. I am a first time mom and I am overwhelmed with all these new rules a what I can and can't do/take during pregnancy. I thought I was choosing a safer method and now I am worried. Thanks.

Get some canesten cream

Christ on a bike.

Use a Canesten pessary like everyone else. (Not the tablet you swallow orally)

I am not looking for judgement. I am looking for help. I am lost and not many people have a support system with people they can go to. That is why I am here. I want the best for this baby and trusted a friend I have known for years. Thank you for the recommendation.

i wouldn’t worry about having used apple cider in the bath but please just chat to a pharmacist. I’m not an expert on Apple cider but can’t see how it in the bath would harm the baby

I've had reoccurring yeast infections through my whole pregnancy please speak to your midwife and GP. They can prescribe the pessary and the cream. Both perfectly safe. Pharmacists probably won't sell to you so best to go to the dr. I've done the odd thing I shouldn't have as this is my first baby and I didn't know. I freaked out when I realised I shouldn't have but I'm 35 weeks now and he's just fine. You can't undo what's already been done but chances are there's nothing you've done that would harm them.
