Best places to visit in UK?

What are the best places in the UK for a weekend break and why would you choose those places?

Norfolk
The Pennines & Sheffield
West Scotland (loch Lomand, Ayr etc)
York
North Devon

All down to earth areas with astounding natural beauty. Great pace of life. All very welcoming to visitors or tourists. All very multicultural.

West wales... beautiful place. Nicer if the sun shines!
Beaches, coves, little towns... just fab.

We visited Liverpool over the summer with our teens and all really enjoyed. Loads of cultural things to see and do.

Visited avimore before kids about 20 odd years ago and loved it.

I guess a lot of it depends on what you like, if you've got kids or not and when you're going.
