Hey guys,
Has the copper coil out on Friday 11th October and had sex on Wednesday 9th October. (Ovulation date was also 9th- but still had cool in) I was due my period on Thursday 24th October and still had nothing.
It took my body 6 months to have regular period when going on the copper coil and I know it’s not supposed to affect your cycles as it’s non-hormonal but just wondering if anyone has experienced late periods when coming off the copper coil? If so how long did it take for your body to go back to ‘normal’ and how long did it take to conceive?

Thanks all xxx

Firstly: sperm can can live for up to five days after sex: if you had the coil taken out soon after ovulation and two days after sex there’s some chance you could be pregnant. Have you taken a test?

Otherwise, the late period seems likely to just be your body. As you say, the coil shouldn’t affect periods in or out but you have a history of irregular periods so this isn’t unusual for you.

Thank you for your message back. I guess I’m just a super worrier.
I haven’t taken a test yet, my periods were regular (between 28-30) days after my body got used to the coil so maybe it’s just that? X
