On holiday in Italy and apartment is damp!

We booked thorough Booking.com and reviews were fantastic, 9.5/10. They must be fake as there is a strong smell of damp upon entering and little ventilation, one bedroom leads to the other which has a balcony, which is the only ventilation, downstairs there is a kitchen and living room with no windows. There are damp patches everywhere and two dehumidifiers, so obviously a problem. Our daughter has asthma and we've booked for a week!
We stayed last night and contacted booking.com today and they spoke to owner who said there is no problem! We probably won't get a refund. What shall we do?! Any advice welcome!

Take photographs to back up your claim with Booking .com.

Can you take photos of the damp and send them to Booking.com and ask the owners to come out and see you

Can you afford to move somewhere else if it will affect your daughters health?

I'm surprised at this time of year the apartment is damp

Hi, thanks. We've sent pictures to booking. We are in the south of Italy and it's a very old building
