I'm trapped indoors with poorly child and constipated toddler - not a good combination. Feel like I'm keeping it together by the skin of my teeth.

Mixed bag for me.

Did my tax return. Yay Grin. I can now switch off the daily reminder on my phone which I have been snoozing and muting for two months.

Dog got attacked by another dog. Boo Sad. Just a superficial wound thankfully, but the attacking dog has done it before and the owner never does anything about it, so I have reported them to the dog warden (I asked around and got the full name and address of the owner).

Chins up everyone Cake Wine Gin or whatever else you need...!

Dull. Got off to a less than ideal start by being blocked in by the dustmen and ended up late for work. Now feeling slightly under the weather and I've lost my sense of smell and taste with this cold and can't taste a thing. I could be drinking tea... or Dh has played a trick on me and I'm drinking something else that looks suspiciously like tea but isn't, and I can't tell.

@MrsJonesAndMe - sadly not! It is Botox, but it's for chronic migraine, so no real cosmetic benefits and it's not really working tremendously well as yet (this is the second lot)

I won't tell if you don't tell about the fat coke and custard slices @cheeseandpickles Grin Wink

Oh that sucks @spiderlight

Boring day at work doing expenses 😴 Boss annoyed me 😤 Currently watching my favourite boxset. Got given a lovely present by a colleague which was an unexpected surprise.

Better than I expected

After last nights terrifying flight back from Tenerife, I think I’m feeling it’s a good to be alive day
Despite not getting home till 2-30am and having diahorrea...with fear maybe.
So I’ve had about 5 hours sleep. Seen son and daughter in law and grandson helped to sweep the fallen leaves..and I keep attacking the unpacking
All good..going to have an early night tonight and meanwhile will be psyching myself up for our return trip in December 😱

MrsSpencerGregson oh your poor dog, hope he/she gets better soon and it doesn't cause any lasting mental scars. A 🦴 for your dog!

It's been a day of waiting for various deliveries.

Our 19 year old came home from work and his P45 had arrived from his old job. I said he'd need to hand it in at his new job tomorrow and he gave me a load of attitude about that, because he says they've not asked for it so he hasn't got to give it in....because he's 19 and knows everything.
Then came his 22 year old brother, kicking off his shoes in the middle of the kitchen floor, his suit jacket on a bar stool and putting bags of books to be marked, his laptop, folders etc on the kitchen counter while I'm making dinner.

We walked the dog and came home to find that the 22 year old had gone out leaving the door unlocked. His brother was in his room with headphones on so wouldn't have heard anything. Anyone could've walked in, the keys to two cars were there for the taking. When he got back I asked him to lock up whenever he goes out and he said he always does. Apparently I'm lying about the door being left unlocked tonight.

Anyone having a rough time with toddlers, make the most of it....it's a party compared to dealing with adult kids.

MrsJonesAndMe · 24/10/2019 11:19

Oh God @MadisonAvenue the thought is enough to break me!

Hope you all have a good day today. We've managed to feed some ducks in the rain and now holed up again for the rest of the day. It was that or get myself carted off somewhere with padded walls Grin
