Bishop Auckland / North East half term places to go????

Hi
there will be a 6yr old, 9yr old and 12 yr old.

Any recommendations of places to go things to do to keep them busy over the half term.

All suggestions welcomed....pleassssseeeee save me hahaha

Beamish or Tanfield railway? Or a wander into Durham and a walk along the river (free). I think there is a botanic garden at Durham uni that should be nice with the autumn colours.

Head down to Barnard Castle and the kids can explore the castle ruins and visit the Bowes museum.

The arriva 6 bus goes past the botanic garden, if you're using public transport.

Or if the like birds and nature, RSPB Saltholme at Seal Sands (can usually see the seals basking too)

The museum on palace green has lots of good activities in half term. They also do castle tours and obvs theres the cathedral.
