Had butter and jam on the roll and cheese on the side. It is amazing!

What the heck is squirrel pasta?

A sort of ragu sauce made with grey squirrel. You can buy them at local farmers' markets. Like the dark meat of chicken.

Yesterday...

Glass of clementine juice
Piece of toast with avocado on it

Lentil veggie spag bol
kiwi

Lots of herb tea and water during day

Half a cucumber that was going wasting in pita bread

Glass of red wine

Always do 5 a day or I feel horrible, but I drink too much.

Adversecamber22 · 23/10/2019 08:05

It is awful as you admit, what do you want to do though are you trying to lose weight or do you just want to be healthier or both.

Yesterday
Slice toast with marmite
Eggs benedict
Chicken Kiev with baby sweet corn, mangetout, mixed salad leaves, new potatoes and tomatoes.
Banana

I have five a day, I rarely drink alcohol and walk for an hour daily. I eat most things but just don’t have a sweet tooth at all and everything in moderation. I have been through the menopause and have managed to remain slim I did cut my carb intake though. So literally one slice of toast instead of two scenario.

Hold the bus! I have just googled and squirrel meat is actually a thing in the UK! I am now without a doubt doing braised squirrel for my dinner party next week. @TerpsichoreanMuse I cannot thank you enough Grin

TerpsichoreanMuse · 23/10/2019 14:53

@comtessedespair - I actually served it for the first time one Boxing Day (not as mad as it sounds, DH's mother loves Italian).

We told everyone it was a "game" ragu and only fessed up when that had finished.

Top tips, there are lots of tiny bones, make sure to get them all out. Secondly, it is quite rich and dark. Wouldn't serve it with a cream sauce, for example.
