If I loved Friends and Schitt's Creek, what should I watch next?

Looking for a series for me and DS to get into together.

We've tried Kim's Convenience but it doesn't have that same "just one more episode" moreishness.

Any recommendations?

How old is DS?

Have you tried Ghosts

codenameduchess · 22/10/2019 19:09

Jane the virgin?

Also, it's a different type of show but I recommend crazy ex girlfriend. It's funny and quite original in that it's a musical comedy.

He's 12 - not tried Ghosts, will take a look at that. Is it funny? Thanks.

I find using other programmes as a barometer not useful personally as maybe ive just had bad recommendations but ive found each kinda comedy/sitcom to have its own merits and there are some that people love for one aspect but will be totally turned off by another for example i love friends and Schitts Creek but also its always sunny in philadelphia which is definitely not family friendly.

But sitcom recommendations:
How i met your mother
Big bang theory
Parks and recreation
arrested development
Community
Single parents
Working mums

FrustratedTeddyLamp · 22/10/2019 19:12

Just seen hes 12 so most my recommendations wont be helpful.

Maybe singles parents
How i met your mother
Big bang theory

FrustratedTeddyLamp · 22/10/2019 19:14

Although i havent seen all of arrested development and parks and rec i think theyre safe. Working mums probably not.

Maybe the ranch ?

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 22/10/2019 19:15

VanyaHargreeves · 22/10/2019 19:16

Another vote here for The Good Place!
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is entertaining too.
My son who is a similar age LOVES Stranger Things & Parks and Recreation.

Heymummee · 22/10/2019 21:17

We’ve also just started watching Raising Dion, we are really enjoying that, it’s not a light hearted one though. More of a supernatural programme.

MrsRedFly · 22/10/2019 22:06

Definitely Brooklyn 99!

adaline · 22/10/2019 22:09

Parks and Recreation
Community
Friday Night Dinner
The Big Bang Theory
Young Sheldon
