Kids always ill at the weekend

Does anyone else find that their kids are ill more towards the end of the week/weekend than any other day.
I work a Monday and Friday (the Friday shift is DULL and no one wants to do it - this is relevant!)
Anyway, 90% of the days off I’ve had unpaid with poorly kids have been the Friday, rarely ever the Monday.
It also dawned on me that we end up using nhs111 and out of hours doctors appointments far more than regular doctors appointments. My kids always seem to soldier through the week and end up poorly on a Thursday/Friday.
I’m worried that work are going to think I’m faking it. I have evidence that we spent Friday in hospital, but I’m still worried they think I’m always trying to get out of the Friday shift as they know how much everyone hates that shift.
The shift is 1-8 on a Friday and you’re the only person in the building, basically just sitting there covering in case you are needed.
Please tell me I’m not the only one that has perfectly healthy kids until a Thursday night?!

Not really although sometimes towards the end of the term as they're tired and a bit run down. However DS always get everything worse than DD.

I do however give them a kids multi vitamin every morning and they go to school unless they are unwell enough to be kept in bed, or contagious. DS is 4yo and in Reception, so expecting him to come down with something like Hand, Foot and Mouth or Slapped Cheek at some point though Grin

I'm in a new job though and on probation for 6mo so really can't afford for the kids or myself to be ill.

I think it’s when they are heading into down time and starting to relax. My DH gets I’ll every holiday without fail and I am sure it’s the same thing.

We do multi vitamins each day too.
And generally they’re pretty healthy, touch wood. Never really get sickness bugs.
It just seems like every 6 weeks one of them will be poorly, eg. They’ve both had tonsillitis in the past month, one has had chicken pox over the summer, one has just been in hospital with a chest infection and then a couple of months ago one was in hospital with croup.
And every single time it seems to be the weekend or on a Friday.

If they just got ill on a Monday night then I’d have 3 whole days to stay at home and look after them!
