It smells lovely and vinegary here on the plus side...........

It shouldn't stain, will just smell like a chippy for a while

It's used as a stain remover, works quite well so it won't stain. And it dries odourless, so you might have a living room smelling like a chippy but it won't last long!

How the fuck I didn't notice at the first spray of vinegar...........

From google it depends on type of vinegar whether it might stain - things like red wine vinegar. Also says not to leave it undiluted even if it is white
