I’m currently being ignored by sulky dog. Sure he will be happier when the roast lamb comes out of the oven.

DCats are similarly food motivated. They were fighting over who got to lick out the mashed potato pan earlier…and DCat1 scoffed some chocolate cake shortly before that Hmm

Lego on one side, a pile of freshly folded tea towels on the other.

Technically however, I am not on the sofa but on the footstool, as DS is sprawled the length of the sofa and at 7yo now fills the entire thing. And I can’t be bothered moving him as I am actually very comfy.

A dog who is having her post-dinner chew of her paws nestled between my outstretched calves, and DH who is planning something via his phone to do with building a breakfast bar in the kitchen.

I am under a blanket nursing a throbbing foot with 5 years of plantar fasciitis (surgery in Jan, hurrah) and throbbing hip from limping all day. But the washing machine has just bleeped so I suppose I've got to heave myself up again. Have just rubbed ibuprofen gel into my foot so might persuade DH to deal with it...
