This will probably bring people out the woodwork to say they hate so and so celebrity but who are the ones that you never really hear a bad word said about them? My nomination is: Dolly Parton.

No idea about Steve Colbert either.

The best sort of ‘ liked person’ is the one you expect to be a knob but is a decent sort.
So JA could have been a spoilt princess but in fact doesn’t wang on about beauty like Gwen or do weird self righteous thing like collect children ( Madonna and Angelina).

Spidey66 · 23/10/2019 12:44

I don't understand the Rylan love. I can't bear him, he makes my flesh crawl.

Someone's mentioned Dave Grohl. I'll second him, he's generally known as one of rock's nicest men.

I've always liked Jeff Brazier, he always struck me as a really nice guy and a fantastic dad.

Spidey66 · 23/10/2019 12:46

Has anyone mentioned Kathy Burke? I'd like to be her best mate. We're a similar age, both London Irish, and aren't ''girly girls.''

Spidey66 · 23/10/2019 12:52

OK lots of people have said Kathy Burke.

Note to self: Read full thread.

Spidey66 · 23/10/2019 12:56

I used to like Gino D'Campio till I heard he'd gone down for breaking into Paul Young's house and stealing his guitars. Paul Young was a major teenage crush for me. I saw him in concert 3 times when I was 17. Anyone who hurts PY has me to deal with.

WombleishofTheThighs · 23/10/2019 13:03

I'm another who has never heard of Stephen Colbert. Is he on TV, I don't really watch TV these days? I've not heard of a quite a few people mentioned, either.

DesertIslandPenguin · 23/10/2019 13:22

Keanu Reeves (of course!)
David Attenborough
Julie Walters
Alan Titchmarsh (can't believe he hasn't been mentioned?!)
The lovely Professor Brian Cox
Olivia Coleman

WildRosie · 23/10/2019 13:41

Showing my age but I liked Val Doonican. I wasn't a fan of his music but he was such an easy-going family chap. Impossible to dislike.

Ohhellooooo · 23/10/2019 13:41

Dave Grohl seems to be a pretty unanimous like!

Swishyswash · 23/10/2019 13:45

I can stand Ant and Dec, Tom Hanks or the bloke from the One Show.

Littledidsheknow · 23/10/2019 13:46

Dave Grohl seems to be a pretty unanimous like!

Ha, yes! He must be The One... the universally liked sleb!

(Awaits post by someone who finds his face annoying or something)

GeorgianaDovesHouse · 23/10/2019 13:47

High Laurie.

midsomermurderess · 23/10/2019 13:55

I'm not at all convinced that Professor Brian Cox is all that lovely.

DesertIslandPenguin · 23/10/2019 13:58

@Littledidsheknow oh yes, Dave Grohl is always described as rock n roll's nicest guy!

MaddieElla · 23/10/2019 14:14

I really don't want to hear anything bad about David Jason. I love him and when he goes I will actually cry.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/10/2019 16:14

Dale Winton must be in there .I cannot remember anything mean said about him (though there was a ridiculous spoof wedding thing about him and Nell Mc Andrew which is an hour of my life I'll never get back). I will nominate Chris Jarvis (children's tv ) but he seems too jolly and squeaky so if have to gag him and lock the door

Triglesoffy · 23/10/2019 16:16

Hugh Laurie cheated on his wife when he was filming House so I wouldn’t put him on the list.

Victoria Wood, however, needs to win this thread.

Spidey66 · 23/10/2019 16:21

I always found Dale Winton to be highly irritating.

I think Dave Grohl and Kathy Burke should win this thread.

Mrsjayy · 23/10/2019 16:22

I can't forgive Hugh Laurie for the jazz album it was ridiculous !

No, not the lovely High. I refuse to believe it!

MitziK · 23/10/2019 16:27

His version of St James Infirmary was excellent, though.

the rest of the album can do one

Littledidsheknow · 23/10/2019 16:27

*Hugh! Hmm

highlystrung · 23/10/2019 16:28

Julie Walters

Honeythekittycat · 23/10/2019 16:36
