Both bought 22nd Oct 2016.

Same brand.

Washer broke yesterday. Dryer today

DH has checked fuses and such.
He's pretty handy but can't find an issue with either.

When I bought my last house I needed to buy a new washing machine, fridge freezer and dishwasher and they all died around the same time. In the years I owned that house I went through three fridges and two each of washers.

My previous house had the fridge freezer left and it had been there years already and was good for a few more.

I think they are designed to fail. I mean why else would items of yesteryear last decades compared to months now?
