I'm on the couch with DCat having a cuppa. I've got Friends season 1 on in the background while I MNet.

DD and DH are still in bed. We've just moved house so there is stuff everywhere. Later we'll try to unpack some more.

Dd's girlfriend is home from University so we're having dinner together later. DH is making meatballs in a tomato sauce. I can't wait Grin

DH is sleeping in from a night shift, so at the moment its just me and my DD, she is causing chaos, emptying her toybox and I’m on the sofa with my tea and the OC on in the background.

Doing a roast Later which i’m excited for. Haven’t had one for ages!

Nunyabusiness · 20/10/2019 07:46

We've had a manic few weeks so it's a whole load of nothing / catch up here.

Rugby quarter finals
Ironing
General tidying
Roast gammon
Apple pie
Chill out

My kids need to relax, evidenced by the fact that they're still in bed when they'd usually be up by 7

Lighteninginabottle27 · 20/10/2019 07:47

Bf has gone out on his road bike, the kids are watching Netflix and I'm in bed Mumsnetting whilst drinking the coffee bf made me before he set off. In a while we're meeting family to take the kids on a day out at a local park event. Happy Sunday folks.

VenusClapTrap · 20/10/2019 07:50

For once we don’t have to be up and off anywhere, so I’m not getting up any time soon. I can hear the dc are up and playing but they won’t bother me till they get hungry.

At some point I need to go outside and spray weed killer, and I have a tonne of washing to get through. I forgot to plug the car in last night so better do that in plenty of time before I have to take ds to his ballet lesson this afternoon.

Sweetpeach3 · 20/10/2019 07:52

Lots of sleep as we've all got the flu!! Don't you just love nursery age children who bring home every single flu or bug! But anyway
Could do with someone cooking meatballs for us!! Lol enjoy x

zzzzzzzx · 20/10/2019 07:53

We are all still in bed. DD17 won't wake up until 11ish then fuss about how much A level work she has and how no one else is as busy as her! We'll get up soon because DS8 has a football match. We have a food shop being delivered between 11-12 and I will spend the day ironing and packing to go to Ireland in October half term to see DHs family. DH will cook roast chicken later. I also said I'd pop out at some point to look at Halloween costumes for DS.

Fruityb · 20/10/2019 07:53

I’m downstairs with DS watching Superwings while DH is in bed. I stayed in yesterday. DS up at about seven but managed to snuggle in our bed for a bit first. We all have colds so we’re all coughing - can put money on DH’s being worse than everyone else’s already...

Today will involve touch up painting in the bathroom while DH finishes tiling the kitchen and DS just wants to be amongst everything we could really do with him not being!!

I went to bed at just after nine last night because I was knackered. DH came up to bed as well and put the bloody telly on (I hate trying to sleep with the telly on) but I did manage to doze off for a bit till the cat decided to vomit under the bed so had that to clean up. He was in a gap that was just about big enough for him to sit in and decided to puke. He has never puked on Lino - always carpet. He is the most unlikeable animal in the world and then decides just to add a cherry onto that.

I am however on half term this week so am looking forward to just being at home for a few days.

MaidofKent78 · 20/10/2019 07:54

Both DH and DS still in bed. I'll go and eake both shortly as DH has cycling club meet and DS and I are going to my running club.

We're a bit housebound today as it's York marathon and we live right by the route meaning the roads in and out are closed 9am - 4pm. So we might head into the city centre for a wander. Otherwise a lazy day I think.

CherryPavlova · 20/10/2019 07:57

My husband has just bought me a mug of Assam made with UHT milk whilst he runs the dog. On his return we’ll cast off and start towards the boat lift before mooring somewhere quiet for the night before dark. Not too many locks and few boats moving now.
Very wet here so progress might be slow; it’s slow anyway but might be slower still in torrential rain. Once moored we’ll light the fire, call the children then cook supper and settle down with the rest of the John Adams mini series.

CakeNinja · 20/10/2019 07:59

I’ve been for a run (through a bog, felt like I might develop sodding trenchfoot Hmm ). Home and showered now, everyone is asleep.
Dd2 is out, she’ll be home by about 2.
Dd1 is going to be revising. I’m going to lure her out with ds to go swimming. Dp is good to be decorating and cooking dinner.
I have plans to potter (do not much and read my book).

elloelloello · 20/10/2019 07:59

DD1 has just turned 18 and went clubbing last last night. Come home somewhat worse for wear so will do doubt be dying of hangover today

The rest of us will just be pottering - got to put some stuff in the loft, walk the dog and go food shopping

Cheesy Christmas movies are back on channel 5 so I’m planning on dossing on the couch in front of the TV for the afternoon

MakeAWhish · 20/10/2019 08:00

I'm in bed with my 3 month old DS asleep beside me after his morning feed. I'm drinking a cuppa DP made me and he is downstairs hanging washing out. We'll have a lazy morning and later go into town for a bit of shopping and lunch. The big kids (7 and 10) will be back from their dads at 6pm so we'll enjoy the slower pace today. Also got a stinking cold and have lost my voice but staying cheerful!

Ragwort · 20/10/2019 08:00

DS home for uni but we will only see him for breakfast as he is seeing his girlfriend the rest of the day and she is taking him back to the station (with his clean and ironed laundry Grin). DH will be watching the rugby this morning and gardening this afternoon, I will go to church and really should force myself to go for a walk this afternoon. Lazy evening and a nice meal .... not very exciting.

Jowak1 · 20/10/2019 08:00

My son stayed over at his friends house last night and my hubby is at the gym. I'm in bed with a cuppa with my daughter watching Harry Potter. She's Harry Potter mad at the moment! Later my oldest friend is taking me out for afternoon tea for my birthday.

soundsystem · 20/10/2019 08:01

DH is working today. DD(4) and DS(2) are shaking off bad colds so we're having a quiet, snuggly sort of day: drawing/crafts, nice lunch (baked stuffed butternut squash), then watching a film, and an early bedtime.

DD2 (4 weeks) is having her tongue tie snipped, so I imagine she'll also want lots of snuggling.

Might have takeaway and a glass of wine for tea once DH is home and everyone else is in bed.

EmpressLesbianInChair · 20/10/2019 08:02

Absolutely nothing, I’m at FiLiA.

Sipperskipper · 20/10/2019 08:06

In bed with a coffee and MN. DD (2.5) is awake but happily singing in her cot, so will be able to squeeze a few more minutes peace before the chaos begins!

DH will do us some eggs for breakfast, and then he will take DD to the garden centre whilst I pop to Waitrose - saw something for DD for Christmas I want to get but she is usually with me!

Then home & DD will have a little nap after lunch. Friends popping over later, then slow cooked lamb for dinner.

Looking forward to a quiet Sunday. Watching the rugby this morning (definitely Wales v France and may catch a bit of the Japan game too). Then out for a walk and will do a couple of easy chores like change bedding. Unfortunately will have to check in with the United - Liverpool match too (very unconfident United fan here). Tonight it’ll be chicken stuffed with goats cheese and mushrooms, and mash, with toffee cake for dessert. Aiming to watch the Harry and Meghan documentary before bed. I also forgot I’m not in work tomorrow so may have a glass of wine too!

icarriedawatermelon81 · 20/10/2019 08:16

DH has gone to walk dogs & collect DC2 who was at a sleepover last night.

DC1 is ill in bed but will hopefully make an appearance today.

DC3 is up and watching tv/ doing some homework / playing with Lego

I'm lying in bed with the door open (so I can keep an ear out ) a lovely latte and one of the cats.

Plans for today are homework / walk / roast (slow cooked beef)/ washing / admin catch up (me) / prep for work & school / baths and tv (strictly catch up)/ bed

Tottie · 20/10/2019 08:20

Currently sat on the bus, on my way home after finishing a 12hr night shift. Will sleep until about 2 and then potter around in my pj's for the rest of the day. DP will no doubt be in the garage working on the T.V. unit he's made from an old wooden garden set, whilst DD2 cracks on with her A level art work. DD1 may pop in at some point on her way back to uni. She's been staying at her boyf's, parent's house over the wkend. Looking forward to getting into bed!!

Bezalelle · 20/10/2019 08:21

MNing in bed at the moment. Will soon go and make crumpets and tea and bring them back to bed along with cat.

Then I have to work all day as I've got two book editing deadlines coming up. Luckily I work from home so it's only a short commute to my desk!

Might try and fit in a run at the gym as I'm doing a 5k race next weekend.

Might also do some wedding planning (getting married January) with DP on phone/Skype as he's down south studying at the moment.

Then synagogue this evening, for the last festival of a long month of festivals!

Pascha · 20/10/2019 08:22

DH and Ds1 are off out mountain biking. I'm at home with Ds2 feeling a bit sorry for myself because I fell over hard at the london transport museum yesterday and ripped my knee apart.

Fish and chips for dinner I think.

BakewellGin1 · 20/10/2019 08:23

Restless night with teething DS so we were up at 6. Positives kichen and bathroom are bleached, front room and bedrooms hoovered, washer is on...

Now rugby with a cup of tea and snoozing DS.

DH golfing... DS11 on playstation... 5 min peace for me before a quick bath.

Need to pop to Aldi for baby milk and nappies then may have a little walk down Marina if rain holds off

ThePolishWombat · 20/10/2019 08:23

I’m just trying to survive day 4 of 7 alone with a 4yo, a 3yo and a 4 week old Confused DH is working away and I feel like I’m drowning in nappies, breastmilk and incessant whinging Confused
Why I chose to marry a soldier is beyond me sometimes.
