In hospital waiting to see if I dilate...

I've been having regular contractions now every 3-5 mins for the past 7 hours. Last time they checked I was only 2cm dilated. I'm at high risk of rupture so wondering what they'll do next!

No idea, but best of luck! Oh, and hope all goes well.

Rainbowhairdontcare · 20/10/2019 02:24

Thank you! DH is asleep and I'm wide awake...typical!!

Typical indeed Grin

I'm off to bed now (night owl) but will check back in the morning, hoping for good news of cuddly bundles.

Rainbowhairdontcare · 20/10/2019 07:29

I'm 38+5. After codeine and the tens machine ive been able to sleep.

Rainbowhairdontcare · 20/10/2019 11:02

No further dilation... But contractions won't stop, so I might have a scan

Rainbowhairdontcare · 21/10/2019 22:13

Well my body is cooperating but there are no beds in the maternity ward, so we'll have to wait til tomorrow

OP posts:
MrBobLobLaw · 22/10/2019 12:57

How are things OP?

Rainbowhairdontcare · 22/10/2019 13:00

The pessary didn't work at all.my bladder which is naturally big kept moving the baby away from the cervix.

Had to get my waters broken with a consultant and two midwives.

We're doing our best to avoid s c section. It's just a waiting game to see if the drip works

OP posts:
MrBobLobLaw · 23/10/2019 10:52

Do you have a new baby now then @Rainbowhairdontcare?

Hope you're not feeling too impatient!

Rainbowhairdontcare · 23/10/2019 12:25

I do! Please welcome baby Diego to this world :)

Tweetingmagpie · 23/10/2019 12:30

Congratulations!

He looks big! How much did he weigh? And how did it go in the end? I love a birth story Grin

Rainbowhairdontcare · 23/10/2019 12:51

He's actually not that big. 3.5kg.

5 days of latent labour, 3 days of induction. My body wouldn't budge in the slightest. So had a c section last night. After almost two hours, nearly passing our, losing blood and stressing about having chest pains... The surgeon thinks that so much scar tissue never allowed Diego to have a vaginal birth. He said "let's put it this way I didn't enjoy it at all"

But here he is now with his daddy both by my side, feeling like the luckiest woman in this world.
