Fashion faux pas!!

I bought a black cord dungaree dress recently and decided to wear it with my favourite colour top underneath it. My favourite colour is purple. I thought I looked pretty good until DS1 told me I looked like an evil minion 😀

Still, at least I've got fancy dress covered now!

I love the idea of being an evil minion.

If I'm 100% honest, I'm pretty happy with this too!

I accidentally dressed as a wizard once.

I thought I looked very stylish in my black hooded poncho, and then I caught a glimpse of myself in a shop window. Grin

I decided I was happy with it too.

Gabby Logan's dress on WILTY now. Someone's done a last minute scissor job on the arm scye and it's very obvious.

LookImAHooman · 18/10/2019 21:55

Nom I see what you mean but it’s so obvious it must be intentional?

NomDeQwerty · 18/10/2019 21:59

That's going to fray like fuck though

Wheat2Harvest · 18/10/2019 22:25

If you fancy a different look you could wear green with your purple top and be Barney the dinosaur.

I bought a sheepskin coat from a charity shop last year for the school run, I wear glasses sometimes and have short hair in a quiff style. I caught sight of myself in a window and really felt like I reminded myself of someone famous.

It was Morrissey. Not quite the look I was going for!

Milkstick · 18/10/2019 23:29

@change you could switch it for a suit jacket and be Mark Kermode on Fridays.

userxx · 18/10/2019 23:31

@Changemynamexchangemyname 🤣🤣.

Got some black dungas from ebay, they're cotton but quite shiny, think fabric. I live in DMs, calf length ones, and a khaki green parka on the school run. They look like waders.

Years ago, when I was young & slender, I tried on a gorgeous short black dress with ruffles round the neck (in my defence it was the 1980s). I thought I looked stunning, until I came out of the changing room to show my boyfriend & he told me I Iooked like a fairy going to a funeral Shock I didn't buy it, but I still wish I had.

I remember buying a grey ribbed knit bodycon dress from Topshop when I was 16. It looked fantastic. Went downstairs to show it to my mum who said "you look like you're wearing your dad's sock". Angry
I took it back the next day.

I'm 40 and that comment still riles me!

That’s hilarious Singingsands
