Actor Michael Douglas on Ellen Degeneres show today

Anyone else see this? His speech seemed really slurred to me - in a way that seemed uncomfortable to have him on a talk show.

I wonder if he has had a stroke. I felt really sorry for him having to do this promotion for his latest film - the whole thing felt a bit exploitative.

Maybe he was happy to do it and wants to keep working but it just seemed so weird to have him there speaking that way and to make no mention of it.

Didn't he have throat and tongue cancer a few years ago? I'd presume it was an after effect of that.

In this instance it actually looks like his teeth could be giving him a bit of bother. The bottom ones?

One of my amily members had throat cancer and his speech is harder to understand a bit slurry now so it might be that.

But his throat cancer was years ago and I've seen him interviewed many times since then without this issue.

It seemed a newish thing to me and quite noticeable.
