Preteen/teenage male acne

Good morning,

My DS is 12 and shooting up fast, currently 5 7, size 9 feet!

He has developed some stubborn acne lately. Does anyone have any suggestions of products to really help tame it ? I know it’s bothering him.

My son is 17 and started getting acne at 13. I have found that it is a case of working out what is best for his skin. We spent ages throwing over the counter products at his skin - it made things worse. We went to the GP (often recommended on here) for anti-biotics and topical creams - these made no difference. This works for some people but I dont think GP's know much about skin. However from the GP we have a referral to a dermatologist. His skin has improved with a simple routine of a very gentle cleanser and moisturiser. Trying to work from the inside out with a healthy diet. Clean pillowcases daily and a gentle shampoo.
