I've been working with someone in another organisation and she's been wonderful.
She goes on leave soon and I'd like to give her a small gift. Any ideas? She also has a toddler.

Socks/baby tights?

StealthPolarBear · 17/10/2019 18:46

While I'm sure the new baby is lovely, he or she didn't run the report we needed :o
I could get her flowers but anything else?

A 'born in 2019' baby grow which will double up as a keepsake babygrow?

Other 'born in 2019' stuff- Jojo has little hats, wooden star hanging nursery decoration etc

Something personal.... if she likes reading then a book token.... if she likes pampering a bath set or whatever. I agree on something for her rather than the baby. Or posh chocs...

JassyRadlett · 17/10/2019 18:49

Voucher to coffee place for when she’s on mat leave?

GrandmaSharksDentures · 17/10/2019 18:51

Sock-ons are my go-to small presents for babies

Perch · 17/10/2019 18:56

Nice bubblebath
Costa giftcard (baby friendly)
Cleaning session with a local cleaning company
Hamper of ‘cook’ food
A good water bottle(like chilly) or similar for stuck-on-the-sofa days

MistyMinge2 · 17/10/2019 19:04

A really nice hand cream from somewhere like L'Occitane. I had some bought for me when I had a baby it was a nice treat to use throughout the day. Didn't have time for any other kind of self care.

A distant work contact bought DS the very smallest jellycat bunny, I think it's called the tiny bunny and is about £7, it's about the size of a toddlers hand, DS is almost 9 and still sleeps with it now.

AudacityOfHope · 17/10/2019 19:09

Tiny hat for the baby
Nice hand cream for her
Book for the toddler
Sorted.

nothanksbyenow · 17/10/2019 19:11

Coffee gift card & hand cream/bath stuff. Or a voucher for a nail salon for a pedicure if she’s at the can’t reach her toes stage.

scrivette · 17/10/2019 19:12

Chocolates or hand cream or a coffee shop voucher (or chocolates and a coffee shop voucher!)

ellieboolou33 · 17/10/2019 19:15

Definitely a coffee voucher, baby socks were never used (I got zillions) and they always fall off Smile

Fantababy · 17/10/2019 20:23

Chocolate. I got bloody mum-to-be toiletries, which is not ideal when your already a mum to a demanding toddler. Can always make time for chocolate.
Costa card good too.

Amazing hand cream, some sort of food voucher,

PurpleCrazyHorse · 17/10/2019 20:53

Those insulated mugs with a lid. I always had cold tea until I dug our camping ones out Grin doubly so with a baby and toddler.

Nice chocolate or a delivery of cupcakes.

reluctantbrit · 17/10/2019 21:10

Coffe vouchers and a travel mug.

moreismore · 17/10/2019 21:12

Lovely hand cream, neom ones are gorgeous, they smell incredible

Pinklittle · 17/10/2019 21:21

My work friends bought me a bottle of gin (much appreciated) and a glass with a lid and a straw so that I could have an easy non spill glass of water (not gin) whilst breastfeeding :) lovely idea OP xx

SweetieP1e · 17/10/2019 23:03

Depends on the person and if you want to buy for her or the baby.

For baby:
Baby vest/socks/hat/grow
Baby book - 'That's not my...' books are fun and the toddler will like them. Elmer is good.

For mum:
Chocolates
Nice hand cream
Lidded cup (great if breast feeding)

Tbh, the thought will be appreciated x

A multipack of Ka. (Grape variety).

Oh, wrong thread.

KellyHall · 18/10/2019 00:29

Baby slipper boots are usually well received in the winter.

Xalia · 18/10/2019 00:37

Pretty scarf

HUZZAH212 · 18/10/2019 00:40

Neals yard mother's bath oil - recommended for during and after pregnancy so the essential oils are safe. Nice hand cream, hat for baby, book for toddler.

HUZZAH212 · 18/10/2019 01:18

Also Berts bees have mama bee and baby bee ranges. There's a current thread of mn testers on the baby range and they seem impressed.
