Do you have a food waste disposal on your sink?

We've just had a new kitchen designed and I've insisted on having a waste disposal added because I hate plucking out slimy food waste from the plug hole. My DH is convinced he's going to force his hand down it and lose his fingers (Yes, he does do stupid shit sometimes).

It's not possible, is it?

@HoldMyLobster i think that your septic tank should work better without food waste in it, certainly it will enable to empty (if you don’t get it removed) easier itself as the pipe won’t be quite as blocked.

Waste disposals r now illegal in Canada

I don't think that's true though - unless it's really recent. I know they are banned in some places but would be surprised if they were now illegal in Canada
