What scooter would you buy your seven year old for his birthday?

I’ve promised him a new scooter. I’m wondering what everyone else has around 7/8/9? Im loathe to fork out a fortune for something that won’t grow with him.

I see lots of different makes at his school. What’s your child riding?

Micro Sprite scooter.

We bought a micro lite for sixth birthday, but will be getting a skateboard for seventh because of the chance of outgrowing too quickly.

One that takes an adults weight. I have an Aldi one - got it about 4 years ago and my kids all love it. Then I got my daughter one with larger wheels which is fabulous although heavier to carry around when you want to fold it up and carry it. (This one - if the pic works - Although it didn't cost this much when I bought it).

At the moment he has a micro maxi with three wheels. I bought it second hand as they are eye wateringly expensive. Do I want to spend over a hundred pound for the same scooter but new? I e asked him whether a two wheeler would be better and he’s open to it.

I've just bought my 7 year old this one.

It takes up to 10 stone and goes up to 100cm handle bar height.
