Help finding a good mosquito repellent for a 4 month old baby

We are off to the Caribbean next week with a 4 month old, we have a mosquito net for the cot and pram, but I am yet to find a good mosquito repellent that can be used on a baby so young. Can anyone help me with what they have used and if it was effective. Thank you!

Good luck. Personally, I wouldn't put any on a baby so young. Mosquito nets and keep him covered by clothes, stay away from bodies of still water, particularly at dusk.

Try Avon Skin so Soft. It's body lotion, apparently they hate the smell.

Avon skin so soft .... any of the veet products would be too toxic for a baby

mosiguard is a deet free repellent that says it's suitable for babies. Avon skin so soft isn't that effective at all, it does work a bit against midges because it leaves a greasy layer on your skin but it doesn't contain anything that would repel mosquitoes. I wouldn't rely on it in an area where there are mosquito borne diseases to worry about.

Deet not veet Smile

Great thanks for the recommendations! I will take a look now on where to purchase.
Although I will be covering up the baby and using the next, I want to be extra cautious due to the risk in the Caribbean of tropical diseases

This is a great repellent. I’ve used it on dd when she was little. DEET free and safe to use from 3months+.

@MustardScreams thanks! That's good to know that it worked for you. Looks easy to get on amazon delivery too!

I have got the mosquito bands that come in a ten pack from the likes of amazon.
They are natural and children can wear them and you can cover your pram etc in them.

We used to use Badger Balm when DS was tiny. I'm not sure how easy that is to get though.
