Ads that pop up on your PC, give the game away...grrr

Looking for Christmas presents, and then letting my son use my laptop, he spots the ads that keep appearing on the page...and asks "mum why have you been looking at "VR All in one." similarly a friend of mines son was looking online at engagement rings, and when his GF used his PC up pops loads of engagement rings, is there an option to stop these ads from appearing all the time, they make surprises hard for those that share there laptop with their loved ones.

Yes, you need to browse in private browsing mode so your computer doesn't log your cookies i think.

Yes to using incognito mode. I've been doing a lot of searching for various ruings for DH's upcoming 40th. Always in a new incognito window and nothing's come up in ads to give anything away.
