This is inspired by another thread (not strictly a TAAT)

So Im currently on week 5 in an inpatient specialist unit and am expected to be here the same length again at a minimum.

I don't have visitors as I am out of my area so it takes flights to get to me.

Please join in, even you are only overnight or waiting to be admitted via A&E or have been inpatient a bit longer than you would like.

All welcome

Hospitals can be lonely places so come and chat with us on this thread.

Nice idea for a thread. I'm not in hospital but I have been before and recently been in with dd.

Hope the night meds take you off to a deep blissful sleep and and you wake up closer to being better Thanks

I work in a hospital, but had a day off today. Do you have friends who can at least message you (even if they can't physically visit)?

Interested in this thread?

@Pointof0return deep sleep knockout every night so at least I get some rest. I woke briefly around 4 am, got BP checked as palpations and back to sleep till after 7 am, then had a lovely hot shower and breakfast

@SoMuchToBits Yes, totally Skype / Hangouts / WhatsApp has been my close friends since I've been here along with calls and messages

However I respect the fact that friends are busy with their lives and cant always chat, I pop on and offline during the day as Im trying not to spend all my time on laptop as I won't download stuff onto my phone as then I am attached to it all the time so am trying to only use laptop.

This thread is for all who are in hospital, please add any recommendations to watch on streaming and any kindle books - I like nice light easy read comedy where I can get (over)invested in the characters so if you are in, please feel free to join in.

Or if you just want to chat about random stuff, Im here too

I’ve been in hospital since October last year, bar 3 weeks at home in April. I was in a PICU and now I’m back on an acute ward. I’ve restarted the meds I came off/refused to take so hopefully only a couple more weeks. I’ve recently been able to start reading again so I’ve been reading some good page turners.
The day seems long though when it’s this early.

Glad you have been able to start reading again it does help pass the time, I have downtime but also activities to complete each day so there are structure and routine.

@FFSOMG, how are you feeling about heading back home? It can be daunting, my longest stint was 9 months in one go and I found it hard when I went back home
