Car seats, taxis, how?

Just bought dc a new car seat. Weighs about 14kg. Rearfacing till 4 years old.

Those of you who have a group 1+ car seat how do you do things like taxis etc?

I'm baffled, it's so heavy

Surely if you take it in a taxi you can't lug it around wherever you're going? How do you do it?

@doadeer that's what I was using but now DC is bigger I've had to get a bigger car seat.

It's interesting that things like inflatable car seats exist.
