If there was one household task you wish DH would do ......

Is there any job around the house which you do and really wish your DP/DH would do it without being asked? Mine is bins! Emptying them, taking them outside on collection day and making sure they are clean. He never does it without being asked so I don't usually bother, but it made me think that it has always been my job - first with my mother who wasn't able to do it, then for my own home and now with DH I still do it! I hate the job!

Make sure there’s no skid marks left on the toilet.

We take turns with the bins. I am doing them at the moment as he is working away during the week. I can't see the anguish. I just wheel it out the night before a collection, and wheel it back in the next day.

Mine washes the clothes, does his ironing, puts them away. Doesn't leave skid marks. I do the cooking mostly because I like cooking, he does the dishwasher and empties it when it is done. We do stuff for each other and take turns at most chores that need doing that the cleaner doesn't do.

Don't know if you'd count it as a chore but bedtime. DS2 has non-verbal ASD so I've been doing full on bedtimes for 14 years. I'd love a break. When he does do it he shouts questions at me the whole time, so I might as well do it myself. Routine hasn't ever changed so I don't know what he has left to learn...

Leave the table and take his dirty crockery to the utility room. He just walks away. Hmm

DH does a lot round the house. He is a SAHD and does the majority including a massive load of DIY. Sometimes though I do wish he wouldn't repeatedly walk past stuff on the stairs that needs to go up. The laundry seems to fox him as well. Grin

However, there is plenty I bet he wishes I would do better 🙈

Change the beds! He would if asked but that’s not the point is it. I would love to come in one day to a fresh made bed.

Slightly different to your question but the chore that I wish he would do is to pull my hair out of the plug hole, because I really hate doing it.

Just anything without being asked. He will do whatever - except bathroom - but doesn't unless asked. Even when he usually does bins (to make up for lack of bathroom) he still continues to squish stuff in until I specifically ask him to empty it.
