Can a/o help really quickly with a Smiggle backpack question? What size for 8 yr old?

There's one that's 45cm in height. Anyone with an 8 year old think this is about the right size for that age or should it be shorter?

Yes that should be fine, ds has had that size since he was 7 and he’s tiny. It’s a generous size but the straps can go small enough.

I agree, they’re surprisingly adjustable. The angle of the straps works well even on very narrow shoulders, too.
