Leggings for chubbier kids

Hi,

Dd is a little chubby and is finding leggings quite tight but if I go too many sizes up they are too long. She is 9yo and quite tall and I usually buy age 11 clothes. Any suggestions for leggings that are a bit looser round the waist but not too long? Thanks

Have you tried 3/4 length leggings?

A size 11-12 in most girl’s ranges is usually equivalent to a women’s size 2-6. You could try the petite ranges of high street shops aimed at teens to see if anything fits.

They are both good ideas thank you

My dd likes gap ones. They aren’t as tight as other brands.

My daughter who is huge for medical reasons exclusively wears gap cropped leggings. I'm not sure they'd be long enough for your daughter. Mine is about 122cm and wears the age 12 ones. Maybe the full length version will work though

Ordered some in gap sale. Thank you

You are very brave op, admitting that one of your DC is a little chubby when everyone knows that mns DC are all very tall and slim. and gifted and mature for their age At that age I always bought adult clothes with 3/4 length legs and sleeves for my dd who is chubby and very short.

Grin mine is sadly neither tall nor slim nor mature nor gifted.
She is funny and sweet though. She can’t help having inherited my thighs!
