Don’t want to downsize (yet). So what do we do with the two light attic rooms ? Keeping two room on 2nd floor as spare bedrooms. But it leaves us with attic rooms.....

I turned one spare room into a sewing/ craft room.

hidinginthenightgarden · 24/09/2019 08:12

Office?

Babdoc · 24/09/2019 08:12

Anything you like! Store rooms, home gym, study, library, painting studio, sewing room, music room, home cinema, sex dungeon... what do you fancy doing?

Soontobe60 · 24/09/2019 08:15

One of our bedrooms has become my dressing room, and our loft is a music / office space / general dumping ground 🤣

WanderingMind · 24/09/2019 08:15

Craft room.
A room just to do nothing in but dream.
Mancave.
Reading room.
Leave it empty for potential grandchildren to come and stay when they're older.

sex dungeon

👆🏼 I'd go with this!

Chilledout11 · 24/09/2019 08:19

I would turn it into a reading room. Sofa. Lots of plants, nice cushions and wall prints. Bookcase. Also decent storage.

SamBeckett · 24/09/2019 08:24

Are you near a hospital? Rent it out as a over night place for doc's and nurse's to kip.
I am not sure of the legal side but it is a popular option near me.

bacchahantes · 24/09/2019 08:31

Sex dungeon eh, wouldn’t a cellar be better for that....?

Do people use their reading rooms...music rooms?

I would use one of them as a "just in case" room for my DH to store all his tat that is overflowing in his office. He buys new things but doesn't throw the old ones away "just in case".

666onmyhead · 24/09/2019 08:35

My kids insisted I kept 'their rooms' for them just as they were. So far I have, ish. But if I didn't have the space to not need, them I'd change them to a use to suit my /our needs. (Probably not a sex den as I have a few of them already Hmm)

MustardScreams · 24/09/2019 08:40

Ooh the possibilities! What do you love doing? Cinema? Library? Gym?

GetTheStartyParted · 24/09/2019 10:15

I have earmarked the top floor rooms for when the children move out, it shouldn't be long!

One is going to be a cinema room and home gym (it's next to the shower room so ideal).

The other is going to be a library and crafting room, with its own little tea station so I don't have to traipse downstairs every time I need a fresh cuppa whilst reading.

The landing is going to be home to my piano. I cannot wait Grin

kink dungeon would be my choice
but anything you want really, your imagination is the only limit here
