Would you eat this leftover Bolognese?

Totally got my days mixed up! I pulled mince out Wednesday night, made the Bolognese sauce in the slow cooker on Thursday, ate most on Friday evening and put the rest in the fridge. Was planning on eating the rest tonight as I thought I only made it two days ago (baby brain, lack of sleep!) It's at back of fridge, doesn't smell any only for me. Not pregnant or health conditions to worry about.

Okay to eat or not??

Yes I would

Doormat247 · 23/09/2019 13:37

I personally wouldn't eat it past the second day the mince was out. I'd be too worried I'd get ill.

I thought cooked meat was ok for 4 days?

I would happily eat it 4 days later unless it grew mould

CatSmize · 23/09/2019 13:47

I definitely would.

NameChangeNugget · 23/09/2019 13:48

Absolutely

Thehagonthehill · 23/09/2019 13:48

Another yes.

Damntheman · 23/09/2019 13:51

I'd eat it if it smells fine personally!

IsolaPribby · 23/09/2019 13:52

Give it a thorough nuke and you're good to go. Mmm Grin

TenThousandSpoons · 23/09/2019 13:53

My husband would eat it but I wouldn’t give it to the kids past 3 days in the fridge.

ElizaPancakes · 23/09/2019 13:56

I would. For sure.

CottonSock · 23/09/2019 13:57

Yep.

fussychica · 23/09/2019 14:01

DS rang me to ask the very same question at the weekend. I said as long as it was properly stored in a fridge that was cold (my friend's fridge was never set low enough and everything that came out was just below room temperatureShock) it would be fine.
He ate it and is fine.

HappyEverIftar · 23/09/2019 14:04

Yes I would. Unless it had obvious mound or smelt terrible I'd eat anything.

HappyEverIftar · 23/09/2019 14:04

*mould

Stationeryqueen · 23/09/2019 14:08

I would, 3/4 days rule for us. We had a chilli last week which was 4 days old, covered and in the fridge, totally fine.

Make sure you heat the bejeezus out of it though. I think you need to heat it to over 70c for over 2 mins.
