If you could have any material thing, learn any skill and do any activity what would you choose and why?

I'm reading a motivational book as I need to work smarter and need reminding of focusing on my life priorities.

One of the challenges in the book is to challenge the achievability of your deepest desires.

I used to have loads of dreams and aspirations but have spent so many years managing and have broken beyond that but seam to have repressed all desire for almost anything but functional, educational and practical stuff.

So I'm hoping to pinch some ideas and remember what it is to think when I grow up I'm going to be an astronaut or ballerina, have a chauffeur driven rolls at my beck and call, speak multiple languages fluently.

Material thing - 5 out of this world diamonds from from The Garden of Kalahari. Sadly, only in my wildest dreams.

Skill - swim like a fish. Unlikely to happen.

Activity - trail ride through the Canadian Rockies. This is achievable and may well do so in the next couple of years.

Material thing: a room all of my own. Preferably attached to a cottage at Great Langdale.

Skill: I’d love to be able to play the piano. I can’t, despite years of lessons.

Activity: long bike ride, maybe cost to coast across the US?

Its working, the rusty, dusty cogs of hopes and dreams are starting to turn.

Ive never scuba dived or even been snorkling somewhere its actually worth snorkling that'd be something.

Both back packing and trail riding I'd love. I guess as its a wish list I could include a hot tub under the stars each night to unwind from the days travels and a bed off the ground.

I’ve changed my mind. The skill I would like is to be able to sing in tune/really well.

I sound like a cat being strangled and completely out of tune.

Well the book suggests three to five things in each category but that made for a really long title and Im prone to waffle on longer than necessary so thought I'd simplify.

So Soola, you can sing and swim like a fish. Maybe your true aspiration is to be a mermaid?

Material: my own Olympic size natural swimming pool
Skill: love to be an ace at physics and chemistry.
Activity: having lots of time & travelling along the silk road enjoying & sharing the hospitality of all the different people (preferably walking with a little pony to carry my belongings and a large dog for protection...)
