Bother. I didn't know it was the last hot day! Have done nothing today I've been thinking we'll do something nice tomorrow!

Working. Cleaned out guinea pigs. Thrilling!

London Open House. Brilliant! What did you see?

I was cooking all day for DH big birthday lunch tomorrow. He was visiting an elderly family member 3.5 hours drive away. I didn’t even step outside sadly. Even worse, I can’t eat anything I have cooked as it isn’t vegan.
He is a brilliant person so I don’t mind.

I made the most of it and got four loads of washing (including bedding) washed and dried (I know how to live!!)
I also sat in the garden and read my book.
Dh and the dc were at work, so I had to amuse myself...

Bliss

Spent the day out catching pokemon with DS1.

We do that in all weathers, though.

Went geocaching to pick up some I failed to find back in February. Lovely walk in the sunshine, which does make a change for us as it normally rains when we plan to go out.

Gardening, three loads of laundry dried outside and chased the kids out to play. Although I was telling them the weather would turn soon and make the most of it, I didn't realise this was probably the last day.

Took DD to University (Sussex). A few tears as we were leaving but she's making friends already (phew). I'm really proud of her.

Pressure washed the paths and patio. Sat on patio in the sunshine

Working indoors. Got there right before it started warming up and left after dark.

Cutting things down in the garden . I wanted to take the dog out training, but ran out of time.

Spent the day cuddled up to dh on the sofa with the curtains closed and Netflixs on. Bring on autumn and the rain😁

I sadly wasnt feeling well yesterday so my grand plans didn't happen (they weren't that grand but we were going to go to a big park for the day. Large ponds / deer / massive play parks / lovely cafe / conkers for the conker mad 7yo)

Instead we went to inlaws, kids has the run of the garden and I got a bit if rest [small north facing terrace only at home otherwise we'd have stayed in]

Took my 2 year old to the country park. Played in the sand pit, went in the train, picnic and a go on the play trail. We were both very tired at the end of the day!
