I have a big standard Crockpot slow cooker with both a single and a double chamber insert. I used to love it, but for the last few years I've been having issues with it.
It seems no matter what I cook, it ends up with either a metallic tinge to it or is sickly sweet. I noticed the sweetness first, and thought it was down to using carrots. But even when I stopped putting them in, I would still get a weird aftertaste. Then I started noticing the metallic taste and nothing I do takes it away. I add lots of seasoning and spices etc but the tinny taste persists.
What am I doing wrong???? I'm a bit heartbroken annoyed because I know it wasn't always like this, and I can't figure out what I'm doing differently
