Fake gold earrings have become discoloured and also green - can I repaint them?

If so, what are the best paint options?

They are all fairly cheap but ones I really like and I can't find similar ones available anymore.

Gold paint looks much more matte than fake gold will. It won't look right. If they're just gold without any extra bits in another material you could have them dipped in real gold.
