I got mine, but was a bit dearer than I was hoping for

I did - I think they were good value (until I added the luggage!)

Sallycinnamum · 19/09/2019 16:07

We were up at 5.30am today booking next year's flights! I hate doing it but there's a massive price difference the earlier you are.

We got 4 flights to Majorca for £600 in May half term. It's what we usually pay for that time of year.

Last year we got 4 return flights to the same place for £360 in August. That was a bargain!

5 (return) flights to Mallorca, during April school holidays, for £400. We were up from 5am but they released them around 6am. Feeling rather sleepy today!

Return flights to Tel Aviv in August for £148. Booked at 6.20am

implantsandaDyson · 19/09/2019 17:28

Booked 5 return flights from Belfast to Amsterdam first week of July - pleased with price. Even with two cases booked, seats etc - still cheaper than the last two years we've booked.

Smelborp · 19/09/2019 17:49

Was there a sale? Missed it.

Lardlizard · 19/09/2019 18:22

Did you guys book on the app or the website
As it didn’t come up on the website till 6.45 am

Sallycinnamum · 19/09/2019 18:48

The flights were available on the app at 5.45 but we tried on the iPad and they weren't there but I wasn't sure if it was just a glitch.

I thought we'd magically become Flight Club members overnight. Sadly not!

countdowntonap · 19/09/2019 21:10

I used the app!

Lardlizard · 19/09/2019 22:28

5.45 😮
Next time I need to use the app
That’s a full hour earlier than the website !!

helpfulperson · 19/09/2019 22:59

Return flight to Geneva. £150 including 23kg hold bag. Towards the end of June. Im happy with that

Blackcountrychik83 · 19/09/2019 23:05

Last black Friday week we got 2 return flights to Barcelona from Luton end of Jan for just under £30 in total for the return for the pair. Flying with Ryanair.

rookiemere · 20/09/2019 07:12

I was slagged on FB for being tight
enough to get up early to book flights, then she followed me onto fb messenger to ask me why someone with a decent income would get up early to save money Confused.
So annoyed that they then weren't available at 6.
I was only getting flights to Gatwick to join up our summer trip, they weren't mega cheap but were reasonable and I'm happy I've got the whole flight route booked now, even if I am penny pinching and weird.

Lardlizard · 20/09/2019 09:17

Reykjavik Is that iceand

Rookie I don’t know why someone would slag you off for getting up early to make a saving of any kind
More like the person that said that is weird !!

Lardlizard she is on the other side of the atlantic so I think alcohol had been drunk, also she has no DCs although being polite I refrained from mentioning this so doesn't understand the impact of school holidays on prices.

I've never had any FB drama before so it's been quite exciting, but glad to read this thread and see I'm not the only one who is prepared to get up a little early - DH is away at the minute so it's no real hardship- to get a bargain.

TravellingSpoon · 20/09/2019 13:12

Yes. I got flights for 3 adults 2 kids to Barcelona from Luton for just under £400 next August.

carrie74 · 20/09/2019 13:53

Flights for the 4 of us to Toulouse for £500ish including a couple of bags and seat selection.

Trying to organise a mums trip for next summer, proving tricky to get anyone to be bold and pick a destination...

whiteroseredrose · 20/09/2019 19:24

Hi Lardlizard. Yes Reykjavík is Iceland. I was looking for Catania in Sicily and got distracted!

I've always wanted to go to Iceland (had high hopes for my 40th and 50th birthdays). However it turns out that April is still winter (don't tell DH!) so self drive might be a bit tricky. Plus there's the whole new super warm wardrobe!!

I8toys · 20/09/2019 19:30

Munich to Manchester £100 for 4.

Lardlizard · 21/09/2019 10:18

White rose
Save a few quid on the flight, get a. New wardrobe 😂😂
Sounds fun
I’d like to go there sometime

Carrie for a mums trip barcelona would be good i think

Family of 4 here with older teen girls
Naples for Easter £400
Paris for 5 day long weekend in May £310
We are a regional airport dominated by Ryanair (never going there) so I'm very pleased.
Never been this organised as I've already got summer flights booked when BA brought them out at 355 days out (avios).

SunsetYorks · 21/09/2019 13:12

I’m blaming you all! Had no idea until I saw this they go up for sale like this so somehow found myself booking 4 flights to Milan for next July!!! Will train down to the lakes for a few days too. Thanks ladies Flowers
