What age did your DC lose their first baby teeth?

DS is 6y 3m old and hasn't lost any, not even got a wobbler yet! All the other children in his class have lost at least one. I'm not too concerned as online info says it's normal but just wondered how many other children lost them a bit "later" on!

Me! I was still losing baby teeth at 11!

I have great adult teeth, don’t worry.

Lost my first baby teeth at 7 or 8 but that’s because I knocked them out falling off my bike!

Seeline · 19/09/2019 09:07

Both mine were nearly 7. People kept saying that they must have cut them very late, but they both had teeth by 4 months so nothing to do with that!

DD is 15 and she still hasn't lost all her doubles!

My son lost 2 the week he was 6.

Runningsmooth · 19/09/2019 09:13

All of mine were 7 when they lost their first.

Seven.

Mine lost her first maybe a couple of months before she turned 6 (and now has lost 6 in the past 7 months!).

I wouldn’t say not having any gone by that age is too unusual though. A friend who was born about a week after her just lost her first. In our case, having a younger brother with a tendency to head butt her in the face often has helped. He has knocked out 4 of the 6 of them just smashing in her!

I lost my first at 4. Lost my last around 15

My DS2 is 6 years and 3 months too. He has not lost any milk teeth yet either. I think he might have been on the later side of the typical range to get his first teeth too. I can not remember exactly though.

We are at the dentist for his 6 monthly check up next month. I am sure she will mention it if she is worried.

wendz86 · 19/09/2019 09:39

About a week before her 6th birthday for DD1.

RightOnTheEdge · 19/09/2019 09:42

My ds lost his first tooth a couple of weeks ago just after his 7th birthday. No sign of any others wobbling yet.

I'm sure my dd was also in year 2 when she started to lose hers, so around the same age.

I used to wonder if they were ever going to fall out! Lots of their friends started losing their teeth in reception.

RightOnTheEdge · 19/09/2019 09:43

Actually mine didn't get their teeth until around one year old. I don't know if that makes a difference.

Hederex · 19/09/2019 09:44

I think my older ones were halfway through Y1 so almost 6.5.
My youngest lost one a month ago, he'll be six in a couple of months.

NormaSnickers · 19/09/2019 09:45

I was in a similar situation to you OP, my DS lost his first one at 6yrs 8 months, then the second a couple of months later. He’s now 7yrs 5 months and hasn’t lost any more though he does now have a wobbly bottom tooth. Hasn’t lost any top teeth yet. He seems to be the only child in Yr3 with no adult top teeth!!

LunaLovesgood · 19/09/2019 10:37

DD is nowhere near teeth losing stage yet but I didn't lose one until I was 8. Still have some baby teeth now at closer to thirty than I'd like. Although one is spectacularly wobbly and I feel like a kid playing with it all the time.

stucknoue · 19/09/2019 10:39

Dd has her last two removed by the dentist at 15, she has a full set of adult teeth now. Later the bettery dentist said, both mine were in junior school so 7+

spiderlight · 19/09/2019 10:39

Mine was 7 - right at the end of Year 2 and the last in his class to start losing teeth. He's stayed quite late with losing them - he's 12 1/2 now and has just suddenly lost three premolars in five days.
